nav2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Hi, My 6 years H1B cap is getting over by Dec 2013 and am planning to apply for my PERM in October 2013.I know that i have to have an approved I-140 to extend my H1-B beyond the 6th year If my PERM gets approved by Jan 2014 (with the current PERM processing timelines),should i go out of U.S and then initiate my I-140 in premium processing and then apply for H1-B? Is it possible to apply for I-140 and H1-B extension beyond the 6th year (after having the PERM and I-140 approved) if you are outside U.S? Is it also possible to get an H1-B extension for a month (from Dec 2013 to Jan 2014) based on the time spent oustside U.S? Please advise
