F1 stamping in Canada - Urgent response required

Hi

I came to US on H4 (my husband is on H1) in June 2011. I got admission at Santa Clara University, MS in Computer Science for Winter Quarter 2013 starting Jan 2013. I will be completing the 2nd quarter in Jun 2013. My husband is sponsoring my studies.

I applied for COS in Feb 2013 and got it approved in Mar 2013. Now I am planning to go to Canada for F1 stamping in July 2013.

1. Since my husband is my sponsoring my studies what are the financial document I need to carry for the F1 stamping in Canada? Some say that I should carry the same documents which I submitted during admission which are his Bank statements from Jun 2012 to Oct 2012. But some say I should carry his recent Bank statements which are from Jan 2013 to June 2013. Which ones I need to carry?

2. Also how much should amount I should show as financial proof?

3. Some say that applying for couple of universities only will be an issue while stamping? I had applied 2 universities for admission California State University, East Bay and Santa Clara University. I got admit in both of them but I joined Santa Clara University. So if the VO asks how many universities I applied can I tell these 2 only? Will applying to only 2 universities be an issue? Or should I tell more than 2 universities?

4. If the VO asks why do I need to convert H4 to F1 visa for studies instead what can’t I use the H4 visa itself for studies? What should be the appropriate answer for this question?

You can say you will get a teaching asistanship and you will be eligible only if you have a F1.

We have applied for h4 to f1 cos as Parents sposoring my education instead of husband sponsoring me. I am planning to go for stamping in canada as parents sposoring me. What are the doc's I need to carry from my parents since they are sponsoring me.

I am in similar situation where I came to H4 and than got my COS to F1. Now I am planning to go to Canada for my visa stamping. Any tips/guidance would be appreciated.

 

Did you already go through your stamping? Please share your experience including the questions asked?

 

Do you suggest to go to India for stamping or Canada is better choice. Waiting for your quick reply.
