L1 original petition retained by Immigration

Hi

My one original L1 petition and I-279 was kept by employer in India and one was kept by Immigration officer. I was not expecting immigration officer that he will keep the original but he demanded so.

I do not have original...What do I do now ? Will it create any issues in future
