Sbodakunta
Hi All, I am Indian orgin and living in Holland ( Dutch, netherlands) since last 5 years. I am planning to take Dutch Citizenship in next few months. That means I am going to lose my Indian citizenship and hold Dutch Citizenship ( passport) I have plans to travel to US towards end of this year. I heard in US, people from different Countries ex; Europe, GC process will be very fast ( 1 year). After I get Dutch Citizenship, If I travel to US on work, Am I going to be consider as European Citizen or Indian Orgin for GC Process? Is it true to get the GC faster if i consider as European citizen, If so what are the options I have Please advise. Cheers, Suri. Link to comment
omshiv
The GC process is based on birth and not Citizenship. If suppose you were born in India and even though you are a EU Citizen, GC will be based on the country of birth - India. Link to comment
JoeF
The GC is ALWAYS based on country of birth. Link to comment
