H4 Visa travelling to India while H1b picked in lottery

Hi

I would appreciate if somebody replies to my quesiton.

My wife is on H4 status. She has visa stamping till October 2014. I am applied H1b this year and got picked in the lottery, and awaiting for approval.

Now she wants to travel to India. Can she travel back and come without visa stamping since her status is still not changed?

How is your wife in H4 status when you are not in H1 status?
