H4 - H1B Transfer is needed Visa Interview or Not ?

Dear Gurus,

I got selected for H1b quota for the year 2014 cap by Lottory, My case is under process, Already i am present in USA(NewJersey)

Please Clarify my douts

1. After approval what is the next procedure?

2. After receiving i797 form, Is it mandatory to go for a VISA Interview to the USCIS office or not?.

3. After receiving I797 form, When can i apply for SSN?

It depends if it was approved as COS or for consular processing.

It is far too early for SSN
