I am really having trouble with my OPT denial!!!

I have graduated from a xxx(state university) majoring in a STEM degree on Dec 15th 2012 and have kept opt start date as 2nd Jan 2013. Unfortunately on Jan 24th 2013 I received an RFE and have answered it. On May 8th I received an OPT denial confirmation.

I am posting this issue not to explore why my opt got denied because the damage has already been done. I don't even want to file MTR.

All I am now concerned is :

1. How do I be able to get into status?

2. Do I have any grace time?

3. What are my options right now to be legally present in US?

4. For instance if you suggest me to get into F1 again, please suggest some universities? Do nor suggest Phd b'coz I do fit into research category.

I have always respected the F1 laws. Ir-respectively we may sometimes become prey due to mis-communication or fate. And I am one who belongs into this black spot.

Friends please suggest me your suggestions. Now even my visa got expired.

If your visa has expired, you are out of options save one: return to your home country and try to get another one (no guarantees)

You can look into post-master's certificates. Also, I think you are still eligible for a master's degree OPT since you did not use your OPT(it was denied). Would you be willing to share your reasons for denial?

Also, talk to the International students office. I think, for the sake of status alone, you may be able to get admitted to any program. But, then, this is not a long term option (you already have a master's). This can be a stop-gap arrangement.
