221g Blue Slip @ Mumbai Consulate - 90 Days

Hi All,

I got 221g blue slip during my visa interview at Mumbai Consulate. I have submitted all the requested documents to VFS on 12th Feb. Since then my status is showing as "Admin Processing". I didn't anything from US consulate regarding my visa.

Somewhere I read about LegalNet service for used by attorney for getting actual status? Is it useful?

Also it is mentioned on Mumbai consulate website that "When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. Therefore, before making inquiries about status of administrative processing, applicants or their representatives will need to wait at least 90 days from the date of interview or submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later. Processing wait time also does not include the time required to return the passport to applicants, by either courier services or the local mail system." Any email details for making enquiry other than support-india@ustraveldocs.com address? All queries sent to support-india@ustraveldocs.com results in standard reply.

What is the maximum time time for getting H1B? Can it be in years!!?

You all know that wait is really painful. Aprreciate for your views/replies.

I have similar experience.

I got 221(g) blue slip on 11th March 2013 from Mumbai consulate. As per US Consulate's request, I have submitted all the required documents to US consulate, Mumbai on 15th March, 2013

Its been 61 days. I have not received any response.

I had an interview (not my first H1B stamping) on Aug 24th 2012. I have been waiting for approx 9months now under the same "administrative processing". They have kept my passport & 797. I got the mail from Mumbai Consulate on 30th May to submit additional documents. I submitted the same on 27th June. Seems it will take more time to complete the Admin Processing.

 

Any idea by when it will complete. Is there common rule that every query takes minimum 2 months or more?

 

Please guide me.

Hi guys,

 

Same case with me when for h1b interview on 27th august in chennai consulate.

Got blue slip with marked column admistrative process.

They took all the dosuments which are related to my client and employer still wating for the reply.

I know most of the guys are waiting from so long back but VO did not asked me to submit any other additional documents.

I am consfused when this is going to clear.

interview date : 13th June 2013

Requested docs(client letter and agrement between vendor and client) submitted on :20th june 2013.

Staus updated date : AP status updated date updated 2 times till now(5th july and 29th july)

still waiting...please update if u get any updates.

Late reply but still can help someone.. I had got the approval for 221 G in 9 months. Basically, after 9 months, they sent me an email asking for some documents which i submitted and got passport with visa stamped on it in 4 days.
