capton Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Hi, I got my L1- H1 petition approved on Sep 30th 2012. My wife went to Morocco for H4 stamping as she needed to attend her brother's wedding. I don't have H1 stamped as i just changed my status to L1-H1 but never went for stamping. My wife's appointment was scheduled on 17th April 2013 at Casablanca embassy in Morocco. The consulate lady officer asked couple of questions related to my employment , where we stay ,where is my employer, Where are pay stubs , where are tax returns, my wife worked while she was on L2 i.e. before status change to H4 so she even asked the EAD. As my wife was answering the questions the lady officer was checking my employment details on her computer. She was not able to pull up some information on my company. She finally said your visa is approved but she needs to check something on my employer or petition something like that. My wife asked how much time it takes. she said it should not take more than a week and then lady officer took her passport and original H4 petition approval notice. she did not gave her any blue slip or 221g but told her that they will inform her. It's been 17 business days now and there is no update. The visa status check says "Administrative Processing". Did anyone faced any such situations before ? Can anyone tell whats going on ? Thanks, capton
