H1-B visas stamping in Switzerland

Hi,

The stamp on my passport shows the expiration date as 11th Oct 2012 but on the I-797 it says

valid from 04/05/2011 to 04/03/2014.

I am on H-1B and have to travel to make a business trip to Zurich.

Is there any risk in my travel to Zurich and getting visa stamped in Zurich or Bern?

Its definitely a problem ; You cannot travel on an expired passport . And for you to attend the visa interview the passport has to be valid atleast for 6 months .

Kunal - did you make any plans to book an appointment in Bern? I am also planning to go to Zurich but I cannot find a way to see the available visa dates in Bern. As per the website it looks like the only option is to call the number from the website. Let me know your plans.
