485 case status changed to "Initial Review"

Hi,

Today my case status changed from Acceptance to Initial Review. My PD: Sep 2008 EB2-India. As dates are way back in 2004, I'm not expecting any GC but does anyone know what this Initial Review means? Is this a RFE? Has anyone seen this recently?

not necessarily..cases can be processed when PD is not current so that they are ready when PD is current

if it is RFE you will get that e-mail too, I believe, if you are subscribed..

is there any reason for RFE? filed AC21 etc?

anyhoo..even if it is RFE, it is better to take care of now instead of when PD is going be current just for a month or so..if history repeats..

I dont know if there is any reason for RFE. I'm with the same employer and on the same job, so its not about AC21. I got divorced few months ago and I have to update USCIS anyways, so not sure if this is related to that

Today I see this message
