valid H1-B and applying for green card through marriage

Hi

I married a USA citizen last year and getting ready to apply for green card. I have a valid H1-B till october 2014. Do i need to file I-765 along with my other forms?

Please advice. Thanks a lot.

The Employment Authorization Document is an ancillary benefit for individuals pending adjustment of status. It is not mandatory, unless the individual requires it in order to work because they have no other work authorization.
