Hello Folks,

Extremely urgent..

My husband is travelling to India on 12 May via London by Virgin Atlantic. His current H1 stamp is expired but have valid work authorization good till Oct 2014. I learnt yesterday about UK need transit visa in this case but all forums says if we are not switching airports, stay in transit area and not travelling through British airways then they mostly checks only at boarding time. So with valid work authorization and stamping appointment letter will this travel would be no issues?

( transit visa is no more option since we are running out of time also Virgin atlantic all flights has connection through london so can't change the iternary)

Please help.

always remember to do the homework...you need Transit Visa even if you are not changing airports. Expired Visa will not do...you need a Valid US Visa. Take a Direct Flight.

You need valid US visa stampled on your passport to travel via London. One of my friend is unaware of this and tried to travel last year with expired visa and he was not allowed to board the flight.

Better skip London, Paris if you didn't have valid US visa stamp.
