H1B Visa Stamping - Toronto (Petition not available in system)

Hello Guyz..

Today I attended US Visa interview for H1 In Canada (Toronto). I was told that my visa is approved, but a small twist in the tail. The counsler said my petition is not available in the system (not sure how this possible and what exactly they mean) and it would take 4-6 days to get my passport. Visa is approved but petition not available in the system. Quit confused

What does this mean? Please someone share me ur experience if you have faced it or if you have come across this issue in this forum.

That's called PIMS.

Relax, you will get your passport once it has been updated.

I just checked my status in the below link

Status states 'Adminstrative Processing' What does this mean? Is this because PIMS not updated?

Nothing. That's internal procedure.

Since my visa interview date, my status is in 'Administrative Processing'. Any idea how many days will it take to update PIMS and change my status online

Did you get back your passport with stamped visa eventually? Was there extensive delay? The VO said the same thing to me. I had my interview today.

Normally it takes only one extra business day only. I Hope you get it soon.
