Delhi Drop box - got a call to come for interview

Hello All - need your words of wisdom. please share your experience.

I went to VFS delhi office on 4/29 with a dropbox confirmation as i qualified for the same.

Today i.e. 5/1 I got a call from US embassy that you need to visit for an interview. i asked for the reasons and other details but didn't get much details. Lady on the phone shared that she will send me a letter for an interview appointment shortly.

So while i was preparing for planning a trip back to delhi, i got another call from them to hold on - don't book your travel as the case needs more processing and they will revert.

So guess I don't even know where I am hanging.

Anybody - please help.
