L1B Expiring, I 94 valid

Hi,

My L1B is expiring on May 9th but I still have I94 valid till May 3rd, 2015. Will my spouse be able to apply for EAD on L2 (which will also expire on May 9th 2013)?

Presumably a blanket visa. The I94 is controlling. If she has an I94 till 2015 she can apply for the EAD

My company has already applied for H1 Visa for me, will there be any problem if I stay on my I94 alone, as my current Visa is getting expired on coming 9th May 2013.
