Options for spouses on H-4 Visa

Hi,

What are the legal options available for H4 Visa holders to work in the US ?

Also, What is teh eligibility criteria for filing an H1B while on a H4.

Is it mandatory to have 3yrs work experience to get a H1B filed.

I have done Masters and employed in an INdian IT firm for past few months. I would be travelling to US on a H4 with my husband.

you cannot work on H4...you'll have to wait for the next yrs H1 quota for any employer to file for your H1B.

H1 is the only option for you. Get a job with H1 sponsorship for next yr.

You don't need work exp to file H1.

That's what I said, find a sponsor who has a job for you in US. Obviously, that employer should have office in US.

Why a consulting company? There are lots of other employers out there.

What would a company from a particular country (or run by somebody from a particular country) have to do with anything???

Find a real employer. There are tons and tons of companies out there in this country.

desis knowingly want to fall into the desi consulting trap cause its easier and their employer wouldnt fire them...etc...and when it backfires they'll come n complain.
