H-1B Amendment Filed-do i need Visa Stamping if i travelling to INDIA to return back to USA before my H-1B petition expires

i am at present working in USA on H-1B Visa. My H-1B petition is valid till 30th September 2013.i have trvelled to USA in July 2011 for client "A" and in June 2012 have moved to work for new client "B" and there i have filed an amendment on my H-1B visa and it got approved by USCIS.i am working for same employer but clients changed. i have a question here if i am travelling to India this week do i need to go for stamping to travel back to USA before my Petition expires (09-30-2013)? kindly let me know if you need any more information. You dont need visa stamping, but show the POE officer the new I 797.
