Original I-797 stapled with Passport wasnt returned after approval of H-1 at Delhi

Hi all,

I appeared for my H-1 visa interview today. Mine is a Emplyee-Vendor relation and i completed my Masters in US in 2007 and was visiting India for the first time in 7.5 years. After waiting for about 30 minutes i was called for visa interview. My visa was approved after the Visa Officer asked me the following questions:

VO: Hello

Me: Hello, Good Morning

VO: Can i get your Passport?

I handed over my passport to her.

VO: What do you do?

Me: I describe what i do.

VO: Did you study in US?

Me: Yes. After a pause i told her that my Masters degree is directly related to my job.

VO: Where do you stay in US?

I gave her the info.

VO: Your visa has been approved. You will recieve notification via email and SMS on how to collect your passport in 3-5 days.

Me: Thank you and have a great day.

I have a question for the experts here on the forum. My original I-797 was stapled to my passport and it wasn't returned to me. Will i be able to get it when i go to collect my passport?
