stamping in Vancouver on may 9th got DUI on april28

Hi Friends,

I really messed up big time, Can someone help me in providing the information

I have my H1B visa appointment on may 9th but unfortunately i got a DUI ticket today (4/28). and the court date is on 6/12

Can i still go to Canada for my stamping?

I heard Canadian immigration does not allow to enter.

Any information on this is really appreciated.

You need to mention your arrest in DS160.. VO will ask you regarding the arrest details .. you need to be truthful.. explain him all the details.. maximum VO can refer you to some doctor to get the medical assessment .. which will delay your process for max 2 weeks.. No need to worry ..

U will make it 10 times more messy if you go for visa now... u should not go untill ur case clears... u better cancel ur appointment...

Hi ppl....I got a dui ticket in NY state and my case is still going on. I have the canada visiting visa, can i now go to vancouver for my H1B visa stamping being the case still pending.

I heard that the "dui offense in NY state will be on the records for ever".....is that true??

i heard that you wont be provided canada visitor visa if you have DUI. But still im not sure.

@sthamago, i got the canada visiting before i got the ticket...please suggest me whether i can go for visa stamping while the case is still pending?

 

the medical examination by the panel physician, i can take that before the interview or only when the visa officer asks me to take?

 

I am planning to go to vancouver, can anyone please let me know the panel physicians near by the consulate.

I heard that if you go to stamping within a year after DUI ticket then you need to go through all this.

Alas that no one has shared their experience on this. One of my friends is in same boat and has asked my assistance as my cousin works with a Los Angeles DUI attorney . Even he doesn’t have an idea, however, really want to help her out, so trying to know what happens in such situations.
