DS-160 Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf

Hi,

My husband and I are in having H1B and H4 visa status. Also, recently when the priority dates became current we have applied for 485. We got our EAD/AP but the priority dates got retrogressed.

We are travelling to India this summer & we want to get our H1B/H4 renewed. The DS-160 form asks a question 'Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf'. Is I-485 application considered as immigrant petition ?

I-130 and I-140 are immigrant petitions.

No, I-485 is not an immigrant petition. It is a permanent residence petition or adjustment of status petition. The I-140 is the immigrant petition, which is filed by the employer on bahlf of the employee beneficiary.
