VDRao Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Hi, The application for Canadian tourist VISA can also be submitted in person which is expected to have less process time. My question: Is it necessary that the applicant has to submit the application or can anyone else submit it ? As I do not have much time to apply it by mail as it takes for about 30 days, I plan to ask some of my friends to submit the application on my behalf. Can I do that? If not can someone suggest alternate options. Appreciate for your time.
Divs16 Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Hi, Now the processing times for submitting in person and by mail are same ( I read in NewYork Consulate website). You can sign represent form and ask your friend to submit on your behalf. It takes 30 Business days. In website they also mentioned that priority is for those who apply online. I dont know any one who submitted online among my friends but couple of friends who applied my mail got in 30 business days. I have applied on march 28 at newyork through my friend as representative.
sthamago Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 the applicant must submit the application but while collecting you can sign the representative form and give it to the friend to collect it after 1 or 2 days and mail it to you.
