No need of 797.

The thing is driver's license and visa on my passport has my previous H1 dates on it, they were not updated with recent H1B renewal. So can I carry my passport as photo ID with photocopy of my current H1 renewal? They won't ask for my original H1 renewal? Thanks for your help

wiweq Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 If you don't have Driving permit, have your Passport as the ID proof. As the proof of your legal status you should have original unexpired I94 with you. The original I94 is the only document that shows your legal status. If you lost your original unexpired I94 try it get it, ask your employer for assistance.
