pranavi123
All, My L1 expires in April 2015 and My spouse is working on L2 EAD since 2010 November. My I-140 is currently approved. I would be converting to H1 next year and I guess I can keep extending my H1 as my I-140 is approved. My spouse also would be applying for a H1 next year but I am not sure how long he can work on his new H1. Could you please let me know what options are available for both of us to work here Appreciate your time on this! Link to comment
pontevecchio
L2 EAD times are delinked form H1 times. He can work for 6 years in L2 EAD and then in H1 status for 6 years if he chooses. Link to comment
pranavi123
Thanks for your reply. Just want to confirm one more thing. If I get H1 petition approved next year, can my spouse still work on L2 EAD? (his EAD expires in May 2015) Link to comment
pontevecchio
Your spouse can only work in L2 status if you are in L1 status. He needs to get a H1 approval. Link to comment
