Can i apply employment based green card outside US?

I have master degree from US and I have three years US experience, three years indian experience and one year australian experience. I am a permanent resident of australia. Can my old US employer apply employment based green card if i am outside the united states? how long will the process take? Please let me know.

Technically yes..your employer can start your GC process..Duration on getting your GC..probably decades!!

It is possible.

The process takes the same time as every other employment-based GC. For somebody born in India, it can take a decade.

Check with your lawyer. Some times it is a common sense question. Government can ask your employer whether you cant do the work with out sponsorising this particular employee. There are many Permanent residents and citizens who are seeking for job..

First become an Australian Citizen and then use the H3 to work here if your employer will file for the GC.
