Immunoarun Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 I am an H4 who changed from J2. As a J2 I did an internship which did not give me sufficient clinical hours for licensure in a paramedical course. Now as an H4 can I work as a volunteer in a non profit organization or clinical research set up where neither I am paid nor anybody is making money out of my services? I only get the supervised hours in return. It is not a job where they can hire someone else for the work I do as I am basically going in as somebodys help and not an independent employee.
JoeF Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 You could only volunteer in a non-profit organization where everybody else in similar positions volunteers. A classic example would be volunteering for a church. And you can't get anything in return, not even "supervised hours."
