Apply for Canada Visa

Hello,

I'm planning to apply for Canada visa to visit for my H1B stamping. While applying i'm being asked to upload "Purpose of Travel - Other" document and my itinerary. Does anyone have any template for "Purpose of Travel"? And how can we get itinerary without having Canada Visa in the first place?

The below is description about "Purpose of travel" document on their website

Purpose of travel - Other

You must provide documents supporting the purpose of your travel to Canada. Examples include: proof of educational study, wedding invitations, proof of a medical appointment, notification of death, funeral notice, etc.

put Tourism, it works. but send your employer letter, 797 copies and passport.etc....

I just used, H1b Stamping. And u can send I797 that should be enough.

Thanks for your reply, PavanKris! Did you apply for Canada visa online at http://www.cic.gc.ca or did you send the documents via mail or did you go to Canada embassy?

I've uploaded my passport along with I-94 that has the expiration data of my I-797. Will that be enough or do I need to upload I-797 also? I've already submitted my application online and now I cannot upload my I-797. Will that be a problem?

Does any one know about how long it would take to get Tourist Visa for canada if applied in person at NEWYORK.
