Entering US on work visa while consular process in progress

My green card is in progress through consular process and waiting for my priority date(May 2008). I'm in India right now and working for an MNC who is not my green card sponsoring company. Is it possible for me to come to the US(via fresh L1 visa) through this company and work for them? Will it affect my green card process? I understand that I cannot apply for AOS when I enter the US since I'm coming on a different Visa. but can my consular process still continue?

Not right. L1 is dual intent. There will not be any problem just because a GC is pending (there might be other reasons for denial though)

I see no issues with either obtaining L1, getting in on it, or getting the green card through AOS (unless your CP is ready for completion).
