F-1 STUDENT TO GC

Hello,

I am on f-1 student. I completed my Masters here. I am working now. Is there any chance we can apply GC directly from F-1 with out H-1.

A GC usually takes several years, and an employment-based GC requires an employer to sponsor it.

That's why the usual way is to find an employer and work for the employer on H1 while the GC process gets underway.
