garlandnew Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Hi, My husband's L1 visa has expired but his I-94 is valid until 2015. I am on H1 and due to personal reasons, he is planning to apply for H4 within the USA. so my question is, once we file for conversion from L1 to H4 for him, what will be the date starting which L1 will not be effective and my husband will not be able to work. Will it be the date when USCIS receives the application or the date when petition is approved or is it possible for him to work (on L1) even after his H4 petition is approved? Thanks for any suggestions.
