Can I apply for Opt ext and H1 at the same time with different employers in parallel?

I am currently working as a FT employee and my current employer has filed for my H1b.I am also eligible for OPT extension and I wanted to know if I can apply for OPT extension by a different employer while I am working with my current employer.I dont want to take any chances as my h1 application is still not picked and its a lottery system.I will move to my new employer once I get my opt approved.

Yes, you can change the employer on opt Stem I-765 and apply for it extn but make sure you withdraw OPT ext if get your H1 approved receipt or else you can carry on with your stem ext.
