Reactivation of H1b

I got H1b for 3 years in 2010. Valid till oct 2013. After using for 6 months I changed status to H4 Feb 2011.

I want to know

- Can my new employer reactivate the old H1b with 2.5 yrs left on it with H1b cap exempt.

Can I get back on H1b with just change of status from h4 - h1b.

Any employer can file a H1 petition for you , non cap and on approval with COS from H4 you can work. You seem to have 5.5 years in total available to you.
