Advertising cost - DOES IT COST YOU $3000????

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering how much is your advertising cost?

Mine is close to $3000 yes, that'sTHREE THOUSAND US dollar. Is that too much?

I'm comparing with my other friends that cost half of it and some are event less (around $500-$700).

The quote i was given include 2 other different newspaper or website. As far as i know, the Sunday paper that we're planning to put the ad includes 30 days in ****************.com and the newspaper local magazine. Can we use those 2 source as part of additional PERM form or requirements?

Other questions:

1. Can we abbreviate the job requirement?

2. Should we include the full name of the employer and address?

3. Can we put the fax number instead of full address?

I'm just trying to lessen the number of characters in the ad. More characters more $$$.

Thank you for your help.

It is illegal for your employer to charge you any costs or fees for the PERM labor certification application -- these are 100% the responsibility of the employer. Paying any of these costs or fees is immigration fraud. It this is uncovered at any point in time, including after receiving permanent residency (green card), the entire process can be revoked for that fraud.

Postpone the process, find a new job with a reputable company (as a full time employee, not a consultant), have your H-1B transfered, report your employers' illegal activities to the Department of Labor (DoL), and tell your employer they are a fraud.

The PERM process is quite complex and is best handled by a qualified attorney. Even so, the employer is required to pay for the costs of the PERM process, and the employee/beneficiary is not permitted to be part of the recruiting process. If you managed to succeed in having the PERM approved, there are several bases on which it could be revoked at any time and you would lose your GC process. Better to start clean from the beginning.
