Applicant Name Change after I-140 approval

Hi,

I would like to change my name (interchange my middle and last name). My I-140 has been approved in EB-3 category and my new employer is likely to file my application in EB-2 category after 7-8 months from now. Will I have any problems if I go ahead with my name change now? Please help me out.

Generally, when someone changes their name they should provide the government with the documentation establishing that the person complied with all legal procedures and requirements for changing one's name.

Attorney_15: Thanks for the reply. I can retain my Priority Date even if I happen to change my name. Is my understanding correct?

PD should not have any affect on your name change..but why change now..change after getting your GC..dont mess up with USCIS...and make things complicated for yourself.
