iamlegend1 Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 Hi, My PERM was filled on Aug 2012 and was picked for random audit on Oc 2012. My attorney responded with all the required documents in a few days and I am still waiting for a decision. My question is when I submitted all the documents, I was asked for previous employer's skill skill set verification letters which I submitted in the same format my attorney had asked me to. But this was not on employer's letter head, but I also submitted my service letter from my previous employer which shows my designations and time frame i worked there and these letter are on my previous employer's letter head. Will it be a problem during my PERM approval since the letter showing my previous skillets are not on company letterhead?? Is this something that is considered during PERM approval by DOL or is it something that is needed by USCIS for I-140?? Pls advice. Thanks
sudhirreddy Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 You dont need that for your PERM but you need it for I-140 application. PERM only covers the part where the company shows they did not find any qualified candidates for the posted job. Whereas in I-140 application you will need to show that you have all the qualifications mentioned the PERM application. Its better if you get the experience letters on company letterhead if its not a possibility then be prepared for a possibility of RFE. Go to i-140 forum and i-140 tracker on ******** website you will get more details
