H1b visa Approved on 8th April @ Ottawa : Full time Employee

Dear All,

Thanks to Murthy.com and people who have shared there experience in this forum.

I had interview at ottawa on 8th April.

I saw at least 5 to 6 people before me whose visa got approved.

I did not speak to anyone but I could listen to Question asked by VO to Candidate.

There is Security check done at entry in Embassy. Exactly the way at Airport Security is done.

Then a Lady officer takes your DS 160, Interview Confirmation Page, i797 form, Passport Size Photo and Passport.

She will send you to Counter (for me it was Counter 1) where you will get Token.

Officer on Counter 1 asked did I carry Letter from Employer.

Then your Token Number would be called for Finger prints.

Once again your Token Number would be called this time it would for your Interview.

ME : Good Morning Sir!

VO: Good Morning. Welcome to Embassy.

ME Thank You Sir!

VO: How long have you Been working at USA

ME: X Years

VO: Where are you Working?

ME: Told my Current and Previous Employer.

VO: What do you DO?

ME: Told

VO: Where do you Stay in US?

ME: Told

VO: Your Highest Degree is bachelors and From Where?

ME: Yes and I have done from Mumbai University.

VO: In Which Field?

ME: Computer Science.

VO: I approve your visa and gives me paper where it tells how to track your passport.

ME: Thank You Sir!

I am full time employee working for University in IT Department of University.

I am in US for 3 Years and started working for University in Last 3 months.

Officer did not ask any Document from me but asked me Employer Verification Letter which I took from my HR.

With all due respect please do not worry that you are going to be stuck because there are many people whose visa gets approved but

don't write there experiences.

The Documents that I carried was as below,

1 Form DS 160.

2 Approved i 797

3 Copy of Appointment with US Embassy at Ottawa

4 Passport

6 LCA

7 i 129

8 Current Employment Letter (offer letter).

9 HR Verification Letter from Current Employer.

10 Pay stubs last 18 Months

11 W2 forms and Tax return 2012 & 2011

12 Experience Letters from past employers

13 All i797 Copy which was approved previously

14 2 Passport Size Photo

15 Resume

16 Professional Certificate.

17 Educational Certificate

18 Educational evaluation Certificate.

19 Bank Statements (last 18 months)

Please note I don't know for other type of Model.

I am full time employee.
