sapmm2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Report Posted April 7, 2013 Hi I am currently on OPT STEM extension which is expiring in July 1st week and I am applying to apply for second masters degree. I would like to know if Strayer university is accrediated or it's fake? Can you please let me know your suggestions, will I be able to get CPT or H1b in future if I go for Masters program from this university. Thanks in advance.

But that should be the part of your F1 program. And also make sure that you finish your degree before applying for H1.

A F-1 visa is for full-time on-campus studies to earn a degree and then return to your home country. It is not for a second Masters degree to get CPT to work or as a bridge to stay in the U.S. Looking for a university that will give you CPT so you can work is an abuse of immigration laws, regulations, and rules, if not outright fraud and illegal.

And for using an MS for the Advanced Degree H1, the degree would have to be from a public or private non-profit university. Strayer is a for-profit university, so a masters degree from them can not be used for an H1. Yet another reason to avoid them.
