These were the questions asked by lady vo @ counter :3 (she was the only available person to handle all the h1-b related interviews on that day) My appointment was at 8:00 am @ morning but I was interviewed around 9:13 a.m. as they have all formalities like finger print and verifying our ds -160,passport,visa appointment letter ,etc. vo: Good mrng,how r u? she smiled me:good mrng,im good.how about you? vo:so, you are here for your temperory permit visa interview? me:yes vo:who is employer? me:X vo:where it is located? me:xyz address vo:who is cleint and its address? me:I told the client name and its address vo:how do you report to the employer? me:I told them that I talk to my employer through phone calls and email conversation. Also,told her that I submit biweekly timesheets and also every 6 months,employer evaluate my work by using employee performance reviews. vo:I am just asking you -how many times you talk to your employer? me:twice a week. vo:ok vo:Does your employer pay you on time? me:yes vo:Does your employer comes for official visits at your client place? me:No,my employer usually dont have to visit me for any offical meetings as it is not needed. vo:Good,good everything looks good! let's see what more can i ask you? me:I was quite vo:where did you do your masters from? me:I told the university name and place. vo:woo..such a hot place.What is the degree you pursued? me: :) Yeah,I miss this place and I told her my degree name. vo:Then she was shaking his head and was looking into my eyes & really wanted to scare me with her suspicious gaze. me:I was still normal and confident that I will get through the interview. vo:Whatmore can i ask you/she was thinking again? then she was like :Is there any higher degree you pursued apart from msters like phd or research? me:Then I said no but I have few computer related certification courses. vo:She started writing a white form (221G) for me saying that unfortunately,I cannot issue you visa at this moment and saying this she returned my passport back but took back my i-797 & ds-160. me:How soon my case will be processed? any estimated days or weeks? vo:she politely said it might take 3 weeks or it may take longer.You just need to wait for it as it will be intimated through email id which you provided and said to me-have a good day,thanks! me:I didn't know how to react but again I said thanks andyou too have a good day ! Can anybody please tell me how soon they can expediate my application.In this 221g form,VO highlighted on one sentence that you do not need to submit any additional documents and she scribbled with a cross line where all the req. documents were listed like resume n all. Kindly help me out! thanks.
mida2633 Posted April 1, 2013 Author Report Posted April 1, 2013 I went to Calgary consulate for my H1-B stamping interview today and I received white sheet stated admin processing. VO asked me couple of questions and after issued me this sheet. Did any one receive or go through the same admin processing in Canada? How many days it will take to clear the process?
kb.usa99 Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 The same thing happened for me in Toronto on 18th march. No update since then. I am still in Toronto. VO took my I797, DS-160 and resume and gave me an 221g yellow and told me it would take 3 weeks or more. I have a masters in IT and my work is as well in the same field.

kb.usa99 Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 I am in the same position. Had my interview on 18th march Toronto. VO took my resume, I797 and DS 160 and gave me a 221g Yellow form. I was asked to wait for 3 weeks before then can proceed with my case. No communication so far from the consulate. I am have a masters in IT and my Job is in IT as well.
mida2633 Posted April 6, 2013 Author Report Posted April 6, 2013 After a long wait of one week- on Wednesday -I got an email from Calgary us embassy to submit my passport and I was so excited and the next day ,I went to submit my passport ! I should be hearing from them soon to pick my passport back! I was really depressed and worried that I am stuck here but not anymore :)

Will you be getting back your passport by DHL/loomis branch or you can pick in person from embassy? I went for H4 interview in Ottawa and was being handed 221g blue slip. Now waiting to hear back from embassy. Thanks
mida2633 Posted April 8, 2013 Author Report Posted April 8, 2013 I would have to wait for any email from loomis branch .I should be hearing from them either by email or phone.As,it was a weekend- usually I had to wait till monday or Tuesday.We can go in person to the loomis branch after they notify me.
