All- Thanks to Murthy forum in prepping for my H1 Visa stamp process and thought of providing my stamping feedback. This was my 2nd H1 stamping and for direct employment. 1. ASC Appointment: Took 10 mins. for the entire process. They just checked Passport/I-797/DS-160 Confirmation

2. CSC Appointment: (3/26)

  • Appointment was at 9 am. We went there around 8.30 am and had like 15 people in front of us in the line.
  • Consulate person checked the passport/DS-160 confirmation/I-797, handed a token for the actual interview.
  • There were three windows but only one officer was doing the H1-B interviews
  • Interview Q's
  • Q1: Employer Name? Title?
  • Q2: Asked for the Employment verification letter
  • Q3: Asked if I-140 petition was filed
  • Heard the golden words, Visa is approved and asked to come back at 3 pm.
  • Went at 3 pm and received the passport
  • I-94 at the border took 15-20 mins and was straightforward

3. Logistics:

  • Just go with Mark & USVISAMEX team and have less things to worry about
  • Mark and his team in Matamoros did an SUPERB job of handling the logistics.
