L1 to H1 COS in between l2 -- Urgent

HI ,

Currently I am on L1b having visa expiry and I-94 date of Jun-1-2013. My employer is filing l1b to L1a conversion. I am also filing COS for H1b via another consultancy.

Here is the cases

1>Shall I file L2 COS as my I-94 is expiring in jun-1-2013( my husband is in L1b) as there is no surety of L1a conversion being approved. IF yes when shall I apply and when can I get EAD. Also can I apply L2 COS from L1b in parallel to L1a conversion ?

2> Can I apply for L2 COS while my L1A conversion is in progress or may be it's in REF after I-94 expiry?

3> Will there be any impact on H1b COS while mine L1a conversion from L1B and L1b to L2 is in progress?

4> If my L2 gets approved while L1a conversion is in progress.. will I be back on L1a once L!A gets approved?
