I hold my social security with my old name only (before marriage). Now we moved back to India and I intend to change my name (Last Name/Surname) on my passport and other documents. Do I need to inform USA embassy in India about this change so that whenever I travel to USA, there is no issue. Thank you Link to comment
omshiv Posted March 22, 2013 Report Share Posted March 22, 2013 you dont have to inform noone...just change your name on your Passport and other documents...when you are back in the US, visit the SSN site to find out the details on name change...probably other departments too like Driver's License..Bank Ac...etc. Link to comment
