Lila2333 Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Hi, my friend is going on the process of the EB2, and we are a little bit confused with the process and we have some quesiotns! -His employer is sponsoring him for an EB2 greencard - the PERM application was filed on Feb 2. When can he expect his I40? (Employer is using priority processing) -He is an Indian citizen. When do you think his green card will come through? -His H1B is expiring on Sept 30. Up to how many month before expiry date is it safe to travel abroad? Thank you so so much!

Up to how many month before expiry date is it safe to travel abroad? 1. May be within 6 yrs( if lucky) 2. Can travel anytime before the visa expiration date.
pontevecchio Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 I was under the impression that PERM has to be approved first and then the I-140 could be applied for in priority processing assuming certain circumstances hold true. In order to get an idea of the time frames after the I-140 is approved have him check out the visa bulletin.,
