Urgent help need regarding H1B to L2 conversion

Hi,

My H1B expires by end of August2013 before that I am planning to change my status to L2 (dependent of my spouse)...

1. If my L2 got approved before August 2013..can i work on my current H1B till August 2013.

2. Can I apply for L2 & EAD at the same time.

3. What is processing time to change to L2 & to get EAD on L2.
