rita1 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 I have to apply for H1B visa this year.I have my OPT extension status till december 2013.My OPT extension is approved,but I have recently applied for name correction on my EAD card.I was not aware I need to send my previous EAD approved card when applying. USCIS sent a notice today asking to send the previous EAD card for furthe processing the case.I am not sure how long it takes to get my new EAD card with corrected name.Meanwhile if I donot file my H1B as quickly as possiblesfter april 1st,this year an CAP gets over,I will be out of status from Jan 2014. Will this pending case on EAD name correction be an issue for filing H1B .Can I submit the copy of my previously approved EAd card . Or since I will send my approved card (for name correction)to USCIS and so I cannot apply for H1B until I get my new EAd card with corrected name. Pls help.Many Thanks in advance.
