warrenpaul_91 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 hi My opt expires march 16, 2013 and planning to apply for stem extension around march 11 without degree since my transcripts will be awarded on may 4, 2013. I know that i will get an RFE because of missing degree verification letter. But i am going to send the transcript then on may 4. I am also applying for H1b on april 1 My transcripts show that degree awarded on may 4, 2013 what will be my options. Is there a risk ? is there any problem in my status or my SEVIS? is degree granting necessarry to be in 12 month opt period? Please help. thanks Link to comment
t75 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 You have a problem. You do not qualify for extension and depending on the level of study may not be able to have H1B filed on April 1. By the way YOU do not file for H1B. Link to comment
