nyshangal Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 I got my GC last November. I am planning to join some other company and leave my employer. one of the main reasons about leaving my current employer is payment issue. I am being underpaid than what was mentioned in my contract. Can my employer revoke my GC? Thank you.

Legally he can't do anything, but legally you are suppose to file a complaint against that employer.
nyshangal Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 Thank you for your response, but I saw in few threads that you need to be with your employer for atleast 6 months post GC otherwise we might face issue during a naturalization process ?:S

If you have a good reason to leave the employer, e.g., the employer not paying you properly, there is no issue. Just make sure you have documentation, e.g., emails about the salary issue, just in case.
t75 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 A consultation with and a letter from an attorney after you find a new job and resign may get you the salary due you. (And will demonstrate the reason for your leaving.)
