AryaD Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I have recently joined a company but due to budget issues project is not yet assigned, so i didn't move to the project location where my LCA is posted. It may take few weeks to start the project. Till then i will stay at my home in different state. My employer is paying the salary till now and the state tax is deducted as per the state rules where the LCA is posted. But the payslip has employee address as my current home address which is in a different state. My question is if i get a new job and and initiate the transfer i have to provide the two recent pay stubs to USCIS. Since the address is different than the state where wages are deducted in the pay slip will it cause any problem during H1 transfer even though i am getting paid and maintains a valid status. Please clarify me
SameerH1Bworker Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 No worries, one can be resident of different state and working in different state. However, on paystub, taxes should be withheld based on working state.
