do I need approved I-140 original to change jobs

I have my I-140 approved with the current employer with a priority date of Jan 2011. I am thinking of switching jobs and my new employer promised me to start the GC process 6 months after I start. My questions are:

1) Do I need the origianl approved I-140 from my current employer to get a 3 year H1B visa approval with the new employer. I have a copy of approved I140.

2) Do i need original I-140 for any other reasons like starting the GC process with my new employer?

3) Am I at a risk to lose the priority date if my current employer withdraws the I-140?

with approved 140, it should be ok.

very unlikely you will get original from your employer.

on immigrationportal there was a faq that replied that uscis has sometimes taken the position that the revokation of approved 140 may result in a loss of pd.
