Kris101
I got H1B transfer approval from new employer. For sometime until transition I may be required to work with both the employers such that my total hours/week would be 80 hrs or 40 hrs each. Is it allowed to work for 2 employers full time? venky144
so u wud be working 16 hrs a day?? 40 hrs a week with two employers may create a problem while u go for h1 stamping?? i dont think anyone wud work 16 hrs a day for a month continuously and it may not be legal for h1 people... Kris101
It won't be continuous. It may be for few days or a week max. until transition gets over. Link to comment
t75
If they are concurrent, you are fine. Why do you think you will be required to work full time for both? You submit your letter of resignation for the courtesy 2 weeks (or what is specified in your contract). Many times you are walked out the door within an hour. Link to comment
Kris101
Thanks. I just want to ensure that there's proper transition. I would not expect to work after I am done with old employer. But there may be a possibility that I may be required to work for few days after I join another company. I just wanted to know if that situation occurs whether theres any law prohibiting it. The new employer filed petition as a transfer I believe and if concurrent is the only option in the form then I believe that they may not have ticked/selected that. Link to comment
