Passport Processing

Hi All,

I had my visa interview at Chennai consulate on 15th Feb and it was approved. I tried to track my passport by calling to call center number and it said " Your passport is at consular post". I am not sure what does this mean. It's been 3 working days already ad I am bit worried.

Your passport is at consular post means your pasport is with embassy.

Check your case online, if it is gone for "Admin Processing". Call the Customer Care.

I checked the status online and it says " your passport is still with post". I don't see any place where it says it is under admin process.

I attended Visa interview on February 15th at Chennai. My visa was approved as per Visa Officer. I did not receive passport yet and the status emails to USTRAVELDOCS still says "Passport is with Post" which means still with embassy.

Interesting enough thing was when I used office E-Mail id the passport tracking showed different statuses at different times.

"Transit from Post", "Ready to Pickup", "Transit to Post" and finally now it says "Still with Post".

With Gmail/Yahoo, the status is always "Passport is still with Post".

I checked my case status on http://ceac.state.gov and it says "Administrative Processing".
